A Riverside couple was attacked and beaten with fists and shoes during a robbery attempt Tuesday in the 2200 block of Oak Street.
While the women who attacked them failed to get the woman's purse, the victims ended up in a hospital with head and facial injuries.
The husband and wife, both 30, were walking down Oak Street at 2:30 p.m. when a black Ford F-150 pickup pulled up next to them. Two women got out, demanding the wife's prescription pain pills and money. The younger woman wrenched the purse from the wife's hands. The husband grabbed the purse back, but the women hit him with their fists and shoes as they tried to wrest it back. The older woman continued beating the husband on his head with her shoe as the younger woman, possibly her daughter, punched and kicked his wife with her hands and another shoe.
Hublot FakeLouis Vuitton Fake The attackers drove off after a neighbor saw the robbery attempt and came out, but not before the younger woman grabbed the cell phone the wife was using to call police. The victims were taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

BURGLARY:
500 block of Talbot Street - Two homes were burglarized between 8 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. Tuesday within a few doors of each other. Police said two televisions, a laptop computer, diamond bracelet, gold ring, diamond earrings, lawn mower, blower and chainsaw valued together at $3,050 were stolen after someone pried open a door to get in the home and then went into the unlocked shed. A TV and jewelry were stolen from the second home, after someone smashed out a window.
embroidered patches Murray Hill Academy, 608 Edgewood Ave. S. - Four computers and snacks valued together at $2,550 were stolen between 5 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday. Entry was gained by breaking a window.
2800 block of Ernest Street - An Xbox game console and five pieces of jewelry were stolen between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. Sunday after someone broke out a window to get in.
Apartment at 2727 Riverside Ave. - A bed was stolen between 6 p.m. Oct. 2 and 11:30 a.m. the next day from a vacant apartment after someone kicked in a door. Police said a similar bed theft took place at a nearby apartment between 6 p.m. Oct. 2 and 11:30 a.m. the next day.
