KERRY'S Castlegregory came back from the dead to win a thrilling All-Ireland JFC final after extra-time at Croke Park.
Colm O'Mahony robbed Mayo champions Kiltimagh of victory with a 60th minute goal, and the men from the Kingdom went on to close the game out with a five point haul from man of the match Shane Hennessy.
With Sean Malee calling the shots as playmaker, Kitimagh took the game to the men from the Kingdom from the off, and were rewarded with early points from Ronan Malee and Ciaran Charlton.
paper bag printingCentre-back Stephen Browne popped up to shoot Castlegregory's opening score, and Shane Hennessy tagged on a free.
Midfielder Paul Regan was getting through an immense amount of work, and was at the centre of the move that saw Brain Gallagher make it 0-5 to 0-3 on 23 minutes.
And late in the half, Alan Lynch and Noel Lydon traded points, sending Kiltimagh in at the break with a 0-6 to 0-4 advantage.
REVIVAL
Castlegregory's third quarter revival was built upon a solid half back line in which Sean O'Mahony and Browne were outstanding, and they narrowed the gap through Shane Hennessy and Colm O'Mahony, before Hennessy brought the sides level on 0-7 each in the 45th minute.
Kiltimagh looked as if they would hang on, but Colm postcard printing O'Mahony flicked Hennessy's free to the net on 60 minutes, and the Mayo men needed a Charlton leveller four minutes into stoppage time. Colm O'Mahony eased Castlegregroy ahead by 1-12 to 0-13 midway through added time, and Castlegregory sealed it with scores from Paul Regan and Clip on charms Alan Lynch, despite Charlton's seven point haul for the devastated westerners.
